Accessibility

A site everyone can use.

We design and test this site to be usable with a keyboard, a screen reader, reduced motion, and low vision. This page says what we target, how we check it, and where we know we still fall short.

What we target

Our target is WCAG 2.1 Level AA across the storefront. Colour contrast, focus visibility, keyboard operability and text alternatives are treated as build requirements, not polish.

How we check it

  • The main page families are tested with an automated accessibility audit (axe-core), and the serious issues it finds are fixed first. Automated tests catch only part of the picture, so tell us about anything they miss.
  • Interactive controls carry visible focus states and minimum 44px touch targets.
  • Animations respect your reduced-motion system preference.
  • Product photography carries text alternatives drawn from the product records themselves.
  • Colour is never the only carrier of meaning; links inside text are underlined.

Known limitations

  • The planning tool for trade members is a visual, canvas-based tool; a fully non-visual path is not yet available. Our team will gladly do the planning with you: Design Service.
  • Some downloadable documents (catalogues, specification sheets) are PDFs whose internal tagging varies.
  • Embedded third-party content may not meet the same standard we hold our own pages to.

Tell us where it fails you

If any part of this site is hard to use with your setup, we want to know and we will fix what we can. Write to us through the contact page or call the showroom, and mention the page and the assistive technology you were using.
