Who holds your information
This store is run by Dezign District Sdn Bhd, registration no. 202601036343 (1698438-A), registered at No 11, Jalan Pengacara U1/48, Temasya Industrial Park, Glenmarie, Shah Alam, 40150 Selangor. The company decides how your information is used and is responsible for it under Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010. Write to us at any time at [email protected].
What we collect
- To place an order: your name, email, phone number and delivery address. We need these to take, confirm and deliver your order; without them we cannot accept it. Your company name, delivery access details and order notes are optional.
- An account, if you open one: your name, email and phone, the addresses you save, and your password, which we never store in readable form. A trade account also sends a business card so we can confirm the business.
- Enquiries: what you send us through our forms, such as a swatch request, a design-service brief, a review or a return, including any photographs or plans you attach.
- Our assistant, Aira: the questions you type.
- Our newsletter, if you join: your email address.
- Only if you accept analytics: the pages you visit, what you search for and what you add to your cart, so we can see how the site is used.
Why we use it
To confirm and deliver your order, issue invoices and receipts, answer your enquiries, run your account, keep the accounting records the law requires and, only if you have joined our list, send the occasional note about new pieces.
Who sees it
- Our own team, to serve you.
- Our delivery partners: your name, phone number and delivery address, so they can bring your order.
- The service providers that run the store for us: the hosting of this website and of our order system, and the delivery of our emails.
- Our payment provider, HitPay, when you pay online: you enter your card or bank details on HitPay's secure page, and we receive the confirmation of your payment (the amount, the method and a reference), never your card number.
- The service that produces Aira’s answers receives the questions you type, so please do not share sensitive personal details in the chat.
- Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
Some of these providers process information outside Malaysia; they do so only to provide their service to us. A bank transfer is between your bank and ours: we see the transfer and its reference, never your banking login. We do not sell or rent your information.
How long we keep it
Orders, invoices and payment records are kept for as long as Malaysian accounting and tax law requires us to keep business records. Your account stays until you delete it; you can do that yourself from your account page. Enquiries stay with us until you ask us to delete them, unless the law requires us to keep them. You stay on our newsletter until you unsubscribe.
On your device
Your cart, wishlist, recently viewed pieces, recent searches, your sign-in and your cookie choice are kept in your browser’s own storage on this device, not in cookies. Suggestions on our homepage are worked out on your device from what you viewed and saved, and that profile is not sent to us. Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes all of it.
The site sets no advertising cookies. Analytics cookies are set only if you accept them, and you can change your choice at any time under Cookie preferences.
Your choices
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it (except records the law requires us to keep), and stop our marketing emails at any time. Get in touch and we will answer within 21 days.
