Indoor Suar Wood

Suar gives a unique visual appeal with expressive grains and a stunning spectrum of colors, from deep, luxurious ebony to soft, sun-kissed caramel. This material is highly sought after for its natural beauty and strength, and has been used for centuries in furniture and home decor. The wood’s natural imperfections, such as knots and cracks, add to its charm and contribute to its organic appearance without compromising on the durability. This distinctive appearance and versatility make it a popular choice for homeowners seeking to create a one-of-a-kind space.

Care

For daily maintenance, clean the wood surface using a mild cleanser and soft undyed cloth as needed. Wipe up spills immediately to prevent moisture damage. Do not clean using abrasives, harsh, corrosive chemicals containing ammonia or silicone as these could damage surfaces and finishes. If needed, use a soft bristle brush and warm soapy water to remove stubborn dirt or stains. Once finished, be sure to rinse off any remaining soap residue with clean water and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth. Protect surfaces from incidental marks (like water marks, scorching, or scratching) by using coasters, felt pads, and non-plastic mats. We do not recommend that the items are in contact with water for a long time. Avoid placing suar furniture next to an air vent or air conditioning system. And, of course, keep suar furniture away from anywhere damp. Try to avoid placing suar wood furniture in direct sunlight as prolonged exposure can cause fading over time. If needed, apply a protective finish like wax or oil to protect against fading and discoloration due to UV rays and humidity. To do so, first sand the surface of the wood lightly before applying an even coat of wax or oil with a lint-free cloth. Allow it to soak in overnight before buffing with another soft cloth. Reapply once per year for optimal protection.
