About Our Teak Bedside Tables

A bedside table holds the last things of the day: a lamp, a book, a glass of water, the phone. In solid teakwood it stands quietly beside a teak bed frame and warms with the years. Choose drawers for what you would rather not see, or a floating table to keep the floor clear.

How tall should a bedside table be?

About level with the top of your mattress, or a few centimetres below, so the lamp and a glass are in easy reach.

Will it match my bed?

Each bedside table's page shows its teak finishes; choose the one your bed frame is in, or see them side by side in Glenmarie.

Around the bed
60 cm minimum on each side you get in and out of; 90 cm feels unhurried.
The foot
Keep 75 cm between the foot of the bed and the wall, wardrobe or bench.
Bedside tables
Tops sit level with the mattress, give or take 5 cm.
Wardrobe doors
Hinged doors need their full width clear in front; sliding doors need none.
