How the Journal is made.
Every article carries the byline Dezign District Editorial. This page explains what that means.
Where the material comes from
Journal articles are prepared from three sources: the product records in our own catalogue, the materials and care knowledge our team maintains, and our own photography. When an article names a piece, a material or a dimension, it comes from the product's record, not from memory or from elsewhere on the internet.
Who approves what you read
Nothing publishes on its own. Every article is read, edited where needed, and approved by the Dezign District team before it appears here, and the approved version is the only version the site serves.
Dates you can trust
The published date is the date an article first appeared. We add an updated date only when the substance of an article changes after review, never for small corrections or routine site releases.
What we will not do
We do not invent reviews, awards, statistics or trends. We do not make sustainability claims beyond what we can stand behind: longevity, repairability, material transparency and care. Where we recommend pieces from our own range, that is stated plainly on the page.
Corrections
If something in the Journal looks wrong, we want to know. Write to us through the contact page and we will review it.
